These terms are between you and Pontelon LLC, which operates pontelon.com.

Using this site

You may read it, link to it, quote it with attribution, and subscribe to the feed. Please do not:

• attempt to gain access to any non-public part of the site or its infrastructure, except as the disclosure policy below permits;
• use it to send unlawful, misleading or abusive content;
• scrape it at a rate that degrades it for other people;
• try to make the assistant ignore its instructions, or use it as a general-purpose AI service at volume; or
• reproduce substantial portions of the writing as your own.

What is on the site is not advice

The Insights pages describe decisions made in particular systems under particular constraints. They are written to be useful, not to be applied unread. Nothing here is legal, financial or security advice for your situation, and no engagement or duty of care arises from reading it or from writing to us.

Figures quoted on product pages are measured against the systems named, by methods we record and will show on request. They describe what those systems did, not what yours will do.

The assistant is an AI, and it can be wrong. Nothing it says is a quote, an offer or a commitment from us. Prices, timelines and terms come only from a person at Pontelon LLC, in writing. What it says on other subjects is a starting point, not advice.

Sending us a message

Sending a message does not create a client relationship, and does not oblige us to reply or to keep what you sent confidential in any special way — see Privacy for how it is handled.

Do not send confidential material, credentials, personal data about other people, or anything under an NDA through the contact form. If you have something sensitive to share, say so and we will arrange a proper channel first.

Reviews

If you write a review, you confirm it is your own honest experience of us or of one of our products, and you let us publish it on this site with the name and role you gave. You can ask for it to be removed at any time.

A person reads every review before it appears. We publish critical reviews. We hold back only spam, abuse, other people's personal information and posts that are not about us, and we never edit what a reviewer wrote.

Security research

Good-faith testing of this site is welcome under our disclosure policy. Report what you find and give us a reasonable chance to fix it, and we will not pursue any claim against you.

That welcome does not extend to denial-of-service testing, social engineering of our staff or clients, physical attacks, or accessing, modifying or exfiltrating data that is not yours — including the contents of other people's inquiries.

Ownership

The content, the design and the mark are Pontelon LLC's, except where a third party is credited. The typefaces are licensed from their designers. Quote us with a link; do not copy pages wholesale or use the mark in a way that suggests we endorse something we do not.

Availability

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, and we may change or remove any part of it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects the liability provisions of a signed agreement between us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. This does not deprive you of protections you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
